This is a study of Exodus 8, 10 We looked at the strategy that Pharaoh used with Moses and the Hebrew child to understand how Satan works to defeat the Christian family. We want to move away from being led astray by Satan's strategy to cooperatin fully and freely with God to accomplish His purposes and to resist Satan who will always attempt to thwart God's plan.
GOD'S PURPOSE FOR THE SAINT:
[Ephesians 1:4-12, Romans 8:29, Matthew 28:19-20, Romans 12:6-17]]
* we should be holy
* blameless in His sight
* adopted as His children
* to live for the praise of His glory
* to be molded into the image of His Son.
* witness, disciple, teach
* mutually dependent on one another,
using spiritual gifts.

III. Satan's Four Lines of Attack
Pharoah as a type of Satan will always try to get a Christian to compromise.
A. COMPROMISE: "Go but..." 8:25 In other words: stay here, don't
venture out, worship right here where you are.
COMPROMISE ON SALVATION...Satan lies: stay in the world - "be one
of them!" Make your church a "feel good" place and don't say anything
that would make anyone uncomfortable regarding sin.
B. COMPROMISE: "only you shall not go far away..." 8:28
COMPROMISE ON SEPARATION...Satan lies: Keep close to the world,
be a Christian but don't let it change you. II Cor. 6:17
C. COMPROMISE: "Not so! You that are men [without your families] go
and serve the Lord, for that is what ...." 10:11
COMPROMISE WITH YOUR FAMILIES (SOULWINNING).
Satan's lies - leave your families along,
let them grow up naturally...don't interefer with them, don't
push your religion on them...let them make their own choices.
Don't read the Bible with them or pray. Let them listen
to what they want to. And by the way, ignore your wife. Don't
nurture her or minister to her. Don't spend time with her...
look around!!!
D. COMPROMISE: "it is only your flocks and your herds that must
not go." 10:24
COMPROMISE YOUR BUSINESS - substance, service, salary
Satan's lies: Keep your business interests separate - don't
mix religion and business! Don't be concerned about your
language at work. OR about the people of the opposite gender
that you get close to and interested in.
Don't worry about cheating, God doesn't care.
With these four compromises, your evvectiveness as a witness and a positive force for the kingdom are effectively eliminated.
The LORD tells us exactly the opposite of Satan's lies:
A. DON'T COMPROMISE YOUR VIEW OF SALVATION: Acts 13:47
B. DON'T COMPROMISE ON SEPARATION Luke 6:22 (In other words, God blesses you
who are hated and excluded and mocked and cursed "because you are
identified with Me, the Son of man."
C. DON'T COMPROMISE WITH YOUR FAMILY - Soul Winning I Tim. 3:4
D. DON'T COMPROMISE YOUR BUSINESS - Substance I Thess. 4:11-12
It is clear that the LORD has instructions regarding these four areas!
CONCLUSION: James 4:7 Purpose not to compromise in any of these areas. As Michael the archangel "did not pronounce against him a railing judgment" but instead put the matter into God's hands by saying, "The Lord rebuke you"! Jude 1:9
Never be Satan-centered, always be God-centered. Be aware of the enemy's tactics with you, but never focused on anything other than the LORD! Satan wants to rob you of God's best for you and your family. He wants to shatter your inluence and hinder your dependence upon the Lord to live His Life out through you.
LIVE OUT GOD'S PURPOSE IN THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND BE TOTALLY DEPENDENT UPON HIM IN EVERY ASPECT OF YOUR LIFE!
Avenues of Temptation: lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. Our Savior, the last Adam responded (Matthew 4) exactly the opposite of Adam and Eve in Genesis. And we should always rebuke the enemy when he brings an avenue of temptation to us. Answer him with the Word, but first "submit yourself to the Lord, rebuke the devil, and he will flee from you!"
