STANDING IN FAITH Galatians 4:4-7
We are God's children, but that doesn't mean that we are to stay "spiritual babies" the rest of our lives. Maturing needs to ahppen so the Christian can stand in faith, but unfortunately some remain in the BABY STAGE!
There are FOUR ways we can stand:
1. The LEANER...always leaning on someone else's faith. Always waiting to see what others think before they decide what they will do.
2. The SLOUCHER...don't know who they are in Christ. They don't know how to put on the whole armor and exercise the faith God has given them.
3. The DANCER...This person dances from one meeting to another, one church to another, soaking up the sincere mild of the Word, but not putting it into practice. They never seem to take a bit of real meat, the real substance of what God has for them.
4. The SOLDIER...The only way to stand is like a well trained soldier...tall, erect, prepared. This is the kind of person we should all strive to be spiritually. Square your shoulders, stand up straight, plant your feet firmly in God's Wood and say, "I will not be moved. I know what the Word of God says and His Word is my foundation." This is the only way we can truly stand against the enemy.
We must grow in the knowledge of God's Word and apply it in our lives. When you stop growing, you stop standing.
