Study the book of Ephesians every week in your private Bible Study! It is a wonderful book. It will give you assurance of Who you are IN CHRIST! It will turn your spiritual life from one of Rags to RICHES; Worry to PEACE; Sorrow to JOY; Confusion to CONFIDENCE; Nothing to ABUNDANCE.

We will give you handouts, each week for such individual Bible study encouragement. We are excited to have this wonderful opportunity to share and pray that you will join us in Digging out the Riches of this book. They are there for U!

Inductive Bible Study:
involves 3 major areas - analysis, interpretation and application.
analysis - dealing with meaning of words, phrases, sentences, paragraphs, relationships, overall ideas and concepts.
Interpretation, you discover the meaning fo the rules of interpretation, the right to interpret, the theme, purpose, intent, and outline summary of the book.
application, you take what you have learned and seek ways to apply it personally as well as corporately.
1. Select a passage of Scripture
2. Determine the situation of the passage.
* Who wrote it?
* When was it written?
* Why was it written?
* What is the main theme?
3. Record questions or concerns you have about the passage.
4. Record other Scripture ref. relating to the passage.
5. Write the passage in your own words. Follow this procedure -
*Read several times
* Summarize the Scripture.
* Note key words or themes.
* Outline the passage.
6. Draw from other resources to further understand the passage.
7. Seek ways to apply the Scripture.

Paul wrote the letter to all the saints and in specific reference to the Ephesians. The letter was believed to be penned when Paul when in imprisoned in Rome about 60 A.D.
The letter was penned to instruct, edify, and encourage the saints - the faithful in Christ Jesus. (Asbury Bible Commentary)

The main theme of the book Ephesians was to strengthen the saints unity in Jesus Christ. Through the revelation of God's word through the holy spirt establish the saints purpose, focus, guidelines for the church, and christian conduct.

The small village of Ayasaluk, 36 miles from Smyrna on the Aidin R. R., does not mark the site of the ancient city of Ephesus, yet it stands nearest to its ruins. The name Ayasaluk is the corruption of three Greek words meaning "the Holy Word of God." Commentary by E.J Banks
