God’s Plan of Salvation
God’s plan of salvation – not man’s, not religion’s,
it is God’s and there is no other plan that can save a lost soul and make that
one a child of God. Acts 4:12 And there is salvation in and through no one else, for there
is no other name under heaven given among men by and in which we must be saved.
All roads may lead to Rome
God’s salvation is threefold: First Christ appeared on this earth to
save you from the penalty of sin, by putting away your sin by the sacrifice of
Himself on the cross. Heb. 9:26 For then would He often have had
to suffer, [over and over again] since the foundation of the world. But as it now is, He has once for all at the
consummation and close of the ages appeared to put away and abolish sin by His
sacrifice [of Himself].
Second, He appeared
in heaven, in the presence of God, after His resurrection, to save you from the
power of sin. Heb. 9:24 And let us consider and give attentive, continuous care to
watching over one another, studying how we may stir up (stimulate and incite)
to love and helpful deeds and noble activities; I John 2:1-2 Third, He will appear again on
this earth, the second time as “Lord of Lords and King of Kings” to save you
from the very presence of sin. Heb. 9:28 Even so it is that Christ having
been offered to take upon Himself and bear as a burden the sins of many once
and for all, will appear a second time, no carrying any burden of sin nor to
deal with sin, but to bring to full salvation those who are (eagerly,
constantly and patiently) waiting for and expecting Him.
This is complete salvation and it is yours by
accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord.
TO EVERY PERSON:
1. It is a fact
that God loves you. (John 3:16)
2. It is a fact
that you are a sinner Romans 3:23
3. It is a fact
that you are now dead in sin Romans 6:23
4. It is a fact
that Christ died for you Romans 6:6-8
5. It is a fact
that you can be saved by faith in the Lord Acts 16:30-31
6. It is a fact
that you can be saved and KNOW it. I
John 5:10-13
7. IT IS A FACT
THAT GOD SAVED YOU TO OBEY HIM
Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the apostles
replied, We must obey God rather than men. [literally it is necessary!]. IF WE LOVE HIM, WE WILL BE OBEDIENT! Once you have received the Lord Jesus Christ,
you belong to Him. He is your Lord and Master, and “no man can
serve two masters.” Matt. 6:24. Determine now to obey His Word in all
things.
After Salvation, each born again should:
1. Unite with a
New Testament church. Acts 2:47
2. Follow Him
in the ordinance of baptism. Acts
2:41. Baptism does not save, it is a
public identity of your faith in the death, burial and resurrection of
Christ. It is an outward picture of
your inner experience. Romans 6:4
3. Join a S. S.
Class and study the Word with God’s children II Tim. 2:15.
4. Attend the
worship services of your church Heb.
10:25. You need the preaching of God’s
Word and Christian fellowship.
5. Be a
faithful steward I Cor. 4:2 Moreover, it is [essentially] required of stewards that a
man should be found faithful – proving himself worthy of trust. All that you
are and have belong to God. “You are not your own. For you are bought with a price…” I Cor. 6:19-20. As a faithful steward, you will pay God His
tithe. Mal 3:10. The tithe is 1/10th of your income
and it is the Lord’s. And all the tithe of the land, whether of
the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s; it is holy to
the Lord. Lev. 27:30
6. Make time
with the Lord every day to pray and read God’s Word, that you may grow in the
grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
